Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Visual Art Program alumnus Gustavo Godoy has a new solo exhibition opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Jacksonville in Florida. The show, titled Project Atrium: Gustavo Godoy, opens on November 19, 2011 and runs through March 11, 2012. Click here for more information.

Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Visual Art Program alumna Cate Bourke has a new solo exhibition at the West Cove Gallery in West Haven, CT. The show, titled Crewel Linen: Unfinished Business is in memory of the 146 workers who died in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in 1911 New York City. The show opened on January 1 and runs through February 29, 1012. Click here for more information.

An exhibition opening at Goggle Works Center for the Arts in Pennsylvania features six alums and one current student from VCFA's MFA in Visual Art Program. The show, titled Big Draw, is curated by alumna Suzanne Fellows and features work from VCFA alums Don Decker, Linda Ganus, Denise Karabinus-Telang, John Santoro, Pauline Foss, Maria McMahon and current student Cathy Jones. Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Visual Art Program alumna Valerie Hird has a new solo exhibition opening at the Nohra Haime Gallery in New York City. The show, titled The Fifth Day, opens on January 17 and runs through March, 2012. Click here for more information.

Phillip Robertson, Assistant Director of Admissions for Vermont College of Fine Arts, has a new solo exhibition of his prints. The show, titled Prints and Paper Constructions – Phillip Robertson, opens at River Arts in Morrisville on January 19 and runs through March 1, 2012. In addition to being a visual artist and arts educator, Phillip counsels for the College's MFA in Music Composition and Graphic Design Programs. Click here for more information.

Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Visual Art Program faculty Co-Chair Ashley Hunt is exhibiting as part of the Museum of Modern Art's Performance Program series in New York City. The show, titled 9 Scripts from a Nation at War, is a 10-channel video installation recently acquired by MoMA, and marks the first work for which artists Andrea Geyer, Sharon Hayes, Ashley Hunt, Katya Sander, and David Thorne have collaborated. Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Visual Art Program alumna Joan Grubin is part of a two-person show at Gallery 61 at the New York Institute of Technology. The show, titled Location/Dislocation: Re-Imagining Space, features the work of Grubin and Josette Urso. The exhibition opens with a reception on Thursday, January 26 from 5-7pm and runs through February 23, 2012. Click here for more information.

Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Visual Art Program  faculty member and Los Angeles based artist Michael Minelli has his first solo New York City exhibition at CUE Art Foundation. Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Visual Art Program alumna Leah Grimaldi has a new exhibition with Charlene Liska. The show, titled Getting There:  Terror and Desire in Uneasy Times, runs from March 9-31, 2012 with an opening reception on Saturday, March 10, 6-9pm at Atlantic Works in South Boston, MA.  Click here for more information.
