Join us for “Movies on the Hill” this summer! Vermont College of Fine Arts is opening the campus to watch some great films under the stars. All are welcome and admission is free.

Open seating at 7:00 PM (bring your own blanket and chairs). Movie begins at dusk. You are more than welcome to come early and picnic on the campus green. IN CASE OF RAIN: The movies will be shown at the same time on Saturday night.

Where are we located? Vermont College of Fine Arts is located near the intersection of College Street and East State Street in Montpelier. click here for a map
What time do the movies start? At dusk—approximately 8:30 PM. General seating and picnicking begins at 7:00 PM (bring your own blanket and chairs).
Where do I park? Free parking is available next the Alumni Hall gym and on neighborhood streets. Please carpool if possible. Please respect our neighbors.
How much does it cost? Admission is free.
Where do I sit? Are blankets/chairs/seating provided? You are welcome to sit anywhere on the campus green. Bring your own blankets, pillows, and chairs. Viewers should organize themselves so that everyone is able to see the screen, which will be near the fountain.
Can we bring our own food and drink? Yes! Please consider purchasing your meal in downtown Montpelier before you come up. Don’t forget to place your trash in the appropriate bins following the show.
What about the weather? It does get cold once the sun sets , so remember to bring long pants and light jackets or hats. If rain is predicted, we will show the movies on Saturday night, same time, same place. If it rains Saturday, it’s a wash for that week. We will post updates on our website at www.vermontcollege.edu/movies.
Will VCFA provide restroom facilities? Yes, there are handicapped-accessible bathrooms available in College Hall.
Is this a family-friendly event? Absolutely! Movie ratings are G and PG. Click on movie titles for more information.
Are dogs allowed? Well-controlled and well-behaved dogs are allowed as long as they do not disturb audience members. Dogs are required to be on a leash and under control at all times. Owners must clean up after pets.
