Franny Billingsley

 

Franny Billingsley writes middle-grade and young-adult fantasies.  Her last novel, The Folk Keeper (Atheneum, 1999), won the Boston Globe-Horn Book and the Mythopoeic Awards.  Her first picture book, Big Bad Bunny (Atheneum, 2008), was included in Oprah’s Online Kids' Books Reading List. Her forthcoming young-adult fantasy, Chime (Dial, spring 2011), received a PEN/Phyllis Reynolds Naylor Working Writer Fellowship.  She has taught creative writing at the college level, and for adults, at the Ragdale Foundation and the University of Chicago Graham School.  Franny lives in the Chicago area.  Please visit her at www.frannybillingsley.com.
