Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Writing alumna Emilie Bilman's doctoral thesis has been published as a book by Lambert Academic Publishing. The work is titled The Psychodynamics of Poetry: Poetic Virtuality and Oedipal Sublimation in the Poetry of TS Eliot and Paul Valéry.
In addition, her book of poems, titled La Rivière de Soi, is coming out in November from Slatkine in Geneva.
"This program awakened the activist spirit in me. I am more aware and involved in making work engaged in a discourse about social issues which affect the earth and its inhabitants.I am a new person. I can never go back to the old way of looking at art or the world again."
