Rigoberto Gonzalez

RIGOBERTO GONZÁLEZ is the author of eight books, most recently the story collection Men without Bliss and the young adult novel The Mariposa Club.  The recipient of Guggenheim and NEA fellowships, The Poetry Center Book Award, the American Book Award, and various international artist residencies, including stays in Spain, Brazil, Costa Rica, Scotland, and Switzerland, he is contributing editor for Poets and Writers Magazine and Luna: A Journal of Poetry and Translation. He is also on the Board of Directors of the National Book Critics Circle, the Fishouse Poems: An Audio Archive of Emerging Poets, and Con Tinta, a collective of Chicano/Latino activist writers. His monthly book review column with the El Paso Times of Texas is now entering its seventh year. He is associate professor of English at Rutgers University—Newark.
