Nancy Eimers

NANCY EIMERS fourth poetry collection, Oz, will be published by Carnegie Mellon University Press in spring 2011.  She is the author of A Grammar to Waking (Carnegie Mellon, ‘06), No Moon (Purdue Univ. Press, ’97), and Destroying Angel (Wesleyan Univ. Press, ‘91). Her poems have appeared in Paris Review, The Nation, Antioch Review, North American Review, Triquarterly, Poetry Northwest, and many other magazines, and in the anthologies Poets of the New Century, The Extraordinary Tide: New Poetry by American Women, The Wesleyan Tradition, Writing Poems (HarperCollins, 4th ed.), Best American Poetry 1996 (Scribner), and others. She was the recipient of a Whiting Writers Award, two NEA Fellowships, and a "Discovery" award. She has served as a guest poetry editor for Triquarterly, Alaska Quarterly, and Passages North. Nancy teaches creative writing in the MFA and PhD programs at Western Michigan Univ.
