The editor for The Best of Mormonism: Writing By and About Mormons, 2007-08, has asked to use VCFA faculty member Phyllis Barber's essay, "Writing as an Act of 
Responsibility" (which was published in Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought in 2008 and was based on a lecture given at Vermont College of Fine Arts), as the introduction to the volume.
One of Phyllis' short stories, "Bread for Gunnar," has been chosen for a new anthology, Dispensation: Mormon Writers for the 21st Century.
And her new book, Raw Edges: A Memoir, will be released after the first of the year from the University of Nevada Press.
