Shannon Dixon
Shannon Dixon grew up in a small town in Massachusetts right near the Rhode Island border. Wanting a change in scenery she attended college at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. While there she majored in environmental policy and minored in Anthropology with the hopes of working in a non-traditional teaching environment.
After college she worked at a YMCA, running after-school and summer camp programs. A job at the Burlington, VT Boys & Girls Club drew her to Vermont in 2002. She has since settled in Waterbury with her husband, son, and two cats. Shannon is excited to be part of the Vermont College of Fine Arts community.
