Our faculty are dedicated to Vermont College of Fine Arts; the average faculty member in Writing has taught at VCFA for more than 15 years. More than two-thirds of these exceptional writer/teachers are also academics with jobs at other universities, including such distinguished institutions as Indiana University, Lycoming College, Rutgers, Virginia Commonwealth University, Western Michigan University, Westminster College, University of Redlands, and the Universities of Iowa, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Illinois-Urbana/Champaign, and North Carolina-Wilmington. Altogether, they have published more than 300 books and garnered most every major literary award in the United States.
